Society Appealed to Maintain Religious Harmony Each Other

Mayor of West Jakarta, Anas Effendi appeals residents to keep maintaining religious harmony in their respective communities. He conveyed such statement on the sidelines of a Diversity ceremony along with the ranks of Satpol P and police in the Mayor's office, West Jakarta, Tuesday (11/15).

"I appeal West Jakarta residents to always maintain religious harmony. This is important to maintain unity and diversity of the nation," he expressed.

The ceremony was attended by 800 personnel comprising Satpol PP, ranks of West Jakarta Metro Resort Police, ranks of Kodim 0503/JB, Saka Bhayangkara, Mitra Babinsa and local people.

Residents Urged to Sort Information on Social Media

Chief of Community Development Units (Binmas) for West Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Lilik Hariati disclosed, security must be maintained by all parties, including the public. She also wants them not easily provoked.

"By maintaining unity with each other, thus security in West Jakarta will remain intact," she stated. 

Pledge to maintain religious harmony is done to address the bomb explosion in front of the Oikumene Church in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, and Monastery in Singkawang, West Kalimantan.
